Welcome to my web site. I'm a freelance writer with 18 years' experience, and specialise in management issues surrounding Information Technology. I'm also interested in how psychological research can help managers and technologists. I enjoy the challenge of explaining complex technical issues so that they can be understood by non-specialists.
As a journalist I've contributed extensively to the computing and accountancy trade press, and have researched and written market analysis reports. For software houses and management consultancies, I develop white papers, case studies and "thought leadership". I write regular articles for a newsletter read by psychology undergraduates and graduates.
Before becoming a full-time writer I spent several years in the software industry, experiencing a variety of technical and management roles, and also worked as a management consultant. I was educated in Glasgow and Oxford, and am currently studying for an MSc in psychology.
